Where to Buy Kratom in Canada: Online Stores, Smoke Shops and Same-Day Delivery
Where to buy kratom in Canada? You can buy it from Canadian online stores that ship within the country, from some smoke shops and convenience stores and, in the Greater Toronto Area, from same-day delivery services. However, you will not find it at pharmacies, at supermarkets or on Amazon. That is because Health Canada has not authorized any product containing kratom for sale as a health product, so mainstream stores do not carry it.
Each option differs on price, proof of quality and speed. This guide compares all of them. Then it ends with a short checklist you can use on any seller, including us.
The Short Answer
- Best for choice and proof of testing: a Canadian online store, because it publishes lab results and ships from inside Canada.
- Fastest in the GTA: a same-day delivery service. Order in the morning, and then it can arrive that day.
- Walk-in: some smoke shops and vape shops stock kratom. Still, choice, freshness and paperwork vary a lot.
- Avoid: orders from outside Canada, because of the border, and anything sold as kratom on big marketplaces.
Option 1: Canadian Online Kratom Stores
Most people who buy kratom in Canada order it online. A Canadian store keeps its stock here, so your order goes from the seller to your door without crossing a border.
What to expect:
- Several strains and sizes, usually from 50 g up to 1 kg.
- A price for each size, so you can work out the price per gram.
- Payment by Interac e-Transfer at many stores.
- Tracked shipping. For example, our orders to Ottawa, London and Kitchener-Waterloo usually arrive in 1 to 2 business days, while farther provinces take 2 to 5.
The catch: anyone can build a website. So the real difference between a good store and a poor one is proof of what is in the bag. Look for a lab report you can actually read. For instance, we publish ours in full on our kratom lab results page, with each test explained.
Option 2: Smoke Shops, Vape Shops and Convenience Stores
Some smoke shops and convenience stores across Canada keep kratom behind the counter. The plus side is obvious: you can walk in and leave with it the same day.
However, the downsides are just as real:
- Little paperwork. Few shops can show a lab certificate for the batch on the shelf, so you rarely know what you are buying.
- Unknown age. Also, powder that sits in a warm, bright display case does not stay fresh for long.
- Seizures. Health Canada has taken unauthorized kratom products from shops. In 2017, for example, it announced seizures from two Edmonton stores, and it still posts notices like this on its recalls site.
- Higher prices for small sizes, since shops also pay rent and staff.
If you live in Ontario and want to compare a local shop with ordering online, our Ontario buying guide puts the two side by side.
Option 3: Same-Day Kratom Delivery in the GTA
If you live in or near Toronto, same-day delivery gives you the choice of an online store with the speed of a shop. We deliver the same day to most addresses in 28 cities in and around the GTA. Our area runs from Barrie in the north to Hamilton in the south, and from Guelph in the west to Oshawa in the east.
First, send us your postal code, and we confirm your delivery time. Then your order arrives in a plain box with nothing on the outside that says what is inside. You can see the full list of cities on our delivery areas page.
Option 4: Ordering From Outside Canada
US websites often show lower prices. The problem is the border. Health Canada has said it works with the Canada Border Services Agency to stop kratom products from entering Canada. As a result, customs can stop an order from abroad, and then you lose both the product and the money. We explain how this works in Can You Bring Kratom Into Canada?
Not an Option: Pharmacies and Amazon
Pharmacies such as Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall do not sell kratom, because Health Canada has not authorized any kratom product. Amazon’s seller rules also ban kratom. So anything that turns up there under a kratom name deserves doubt. For more, see Can You Buy Kratom on Amazon in Canada?
How to Judge Any Kratom Seller in Canada: A 7-Point Checklist
- A lab report for each batch. It should name the lab and test for heavy metals, bacteria and mould. Ideally, it also shows the alkaloid content, which is the level of the plant’s natural compounds.
- A batch number on the label that matches the report.
- A Canadian base and a real way to reach a person by phone, text or email.
- Clear prices by size, so you can compare the price per gram. As a guide, our powders run from $25 for 50 g ($0.50 per gram) to $200 for 1 kg ($0.20 per gram).
- Plain, tracked shipping with stated delivery times.
- An age check. Serious sellers sell to adults only. We sell to customers 19 and older.
- No health claims and no 7-OH. Health Canada has not approved kratom for eating or drinking. So a seller that makes health promises, or that sells concentrated 7-OH products, is not following the rules. You can read more in Is kratom legal in Canada?

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you buy kratom in Canada?
Yes. Kratom is not a controlled substance in Canada, and adults can buy and own it. However, Health Canada has not authorized any kratom product for sale as a health product or for eating or drinking. That is why stores sell it as a botanical product and not in pharmacies.
Is kratom sold in stores in Canada?
Some smoke shops, vape shops and convenience stores stock it, but no national chain sells it. Instead, most Canadians buy kratom online from Canadian stores.
Where can I buy kratom in Toronto today?
Same-day delivery is the quickest route. For example, we deliver the same day to most Toronto and GTA addresses. Then send us your postal code to confirm your time.
How do I know an online kratom store is reliable?
Look for a Canadian store that publishes batch lab results, shows a batch number on its labels and ships with tracking. That is the most reliable way to know what you are getting. Also, avoid sellers outside Canada, because customs can stop those orders.
Can I buy kratom at a pharmacy?
No. Canadian pharmacies do not carry kratom, because Health Canada has not authorized any kratom product.
