Maeng Da is a grade name rather than a place. The leaf behind it is grown by farms in Southeast Asia and picked from mature Mitragyna speciosa trees. The leaf is dried under cover rather than in open sun, then milled and sieved. We buy one harvest per batch instead of mixing several harvests together, so what you receive stays consistent from the top of the bag to the bottom.

Before a batch is listed, we check it against the same standards every time. We look at the colour and the grind, we confirm the batch matches the paperwork the grower sent, and we send a sample to an outside laboratory. If a batch fails any part of that check, we do not sell it.
