How we source and select this strain
The Malay name points to Malaysia and the surrounding region, where the leaf for this grade is grown. The leaf is dried under cover rather than in open sun, then milled and sieved. We buy one harvest per batch instead of mixing several harvests together, so what you receive stays consistent from the top of the bag to the bottom.
Before a batch is listed, we check it against the same standards every time. We look at the colour and the grind, we confirm the batch matches the paperwork the grower sent, and we send a sample to an outside laboratory. If a batch fails any part of that check, we do not sell it.
